How Do I Join The Fire Department?

Applicants must be 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license, and be in good health.

Most fire department members live in or near the City, but it is possible to live in a rural or remote area and still be a firefighter.

To apply, fill out the Firefighter Application Form and Term of Agreement  and return them to City Hall. A criminal record check and driver's abstract will be required along with the application form. Contact the Protective Services Clerk for the Criminal Record Check letter and forms. 

Once your application has been reviewed, you may be accepted as a recruit, and begin attending training.
