Council Meetings & Requests

Regular council meetings are always open to the public to observe only.

If you would like to make a request to council or attend to speak to Council as a delegation, those processes are outlined in the FAQ section below.

Meetings are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month subject to change by resolution of Council. See our Event Calendar for a complete schedule. Special meetings that are called with short notice may not be included on the Events Calendar, please watch our News & Notices section for public notices regarding special meetings.

Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, which is located on the upper floor of City Hall. Access is by the South-East door.

Additions to the agenda, correspondence, and delegation requests must be received by the deadlines listed below in the FAQ.

Invitations - Mayor & Council

Each year, the Mayor and members of City Council attend many special events, ceremonies and celebrations throughout the City. If you would like to invite the Mayor, or Council to an event, please submit the online request form below. If you prefer to send in your request by alternative methods, please include as much of the below information as possible.

All invitations will be reviewed by the Mayor and/or Council. Due to scheduling issues that may arise, we cannot guarantee that they will be able to attend all events.

When sending invitations to Mayor & Council, a minimum of two weeks notice is needed, but 30-60 days notice is preferred.
